| Service: | Dynamic Handgun I change Our Dynamic Handgun 1 course is designed to improve your handgun marksmanship skills and overall proficiency. This course will build on your existing skills and knowledge with a handgun. This is a beginner course; however, you must have a basic working knowledge of the handgun that you are bringing to the class. At the very least you must be able to load and unload your magazines or revolver without help. In addition to loading, you must be able to lock the action open on your selected firearm. If you cannot perform either of these tasks, we encourage you to take a private lesson with one of our experienced instructors to learn the basics required, after which you will be more than ready for our additional courses. In this class you will learn basic skills in: - How to safely draw your gun from a holster and safely re-holster your gun. - Improved grip and trigger control techniques. - Reloading techniques. - Techniques for clearing a malfunction. (How to quickly fix a jammed gun) - Techniques for engaging multiple targets. - Low light shooting techniques to learn how to employ a flashlight and your chosen firearm. The required items you will need for this class are: - Semi automatic pistol or revolver. (No single action only revolvers) - Pants or shorts with Belt loops. - A belt. - A holster with at least level 1 retention. Outside the waistband holsters are required. The skills you learn with your OWB holster will translate to your IWB holsters. - At least 250 rounds of ammunition. - At least 2 magazines if shooting a semi-automatic pistol. - Clothing with pockets for additional cartridges if shooting a revolver, or pouch that can attach to your belt. - Close toed and heel shoes. No flip flops or croc styled shoes. - A handheld flashlight with push button on the back, or weapon light that attaches to the gun. - You may bring your own eye and ear protection, but rentals will be available for those without. This class is tailored to the student's skill levels present at each course. If you currently keep or carry a gun for defensive purposes, we highly encourage you to take this class!
